Crazy Jones
If it is not one thing ... it's your mother.
Starring: Joe Aaron, Francesca Catalano, Elizabeth Ince, Tess Borden Written and Directed by: Joe Aaron
Synopsis: In this quirky and bittersweet tale with a big twist ending, Finnegan Jones, a semi-suicidal 40-year-old cemetary worker, develops a unique relationship with a free-spirited and artistic 12-year-old Syd (Francesca Catalano).
Finnegan suffers from Tourette's Syndrome and has been an outcast all his life. He still lives with his domineering mother (Elizabeth Ince), and works as a grave-tender to be near his dead father. Worried that Finnegan will have no one when she is gone, Mom decides to play matchmaker - with disastrous results. Poor Finnegan is foisted off on a series of 'dates' with mom's seductive and giggly acquaintance, Mandy (Tess Borden). But just when he despairs of ever finding a real life and real love, Finnegan meets the sprightly Syd, whose green hair and pirouettes through the cemetery signal a true artistic talent. Soon, Finnegan is sitting for Syd's portraits and is infected with her energy. But when he discovers Syd's dark secret, will what he's learned be enough to carry him through?
